I have been with Hostgator for five years now and never had any major problems. Their uptime is 99.9% and have never heard of outages on their servers. Had some minor glitches due to server/network problems and found out to my relief not only the customer care was supportive. They even issued a list of directives for preventing such problems again. I would like to recommend it to one and all. Great service and customer care for almost no cost at all.

HostGator is one of the most reputed companies that give hosting solution around the globe. When I was having some problem with my domain I report them and they reply me really fast. Not even they reply but also started working on my problem immediately. Customer satisfaction can be seen at its peak in HostGator. Their technology and their technical staff will never leave your problem unsolved. They will provide you with great services whenever you need them. When you experience some loss due to some technical problems of the host, you are offered with a satisfactory amount of compensation. What else do you expect from a hosting company? So I will continue suggesting all my colleagues and friends to use this HostGator and I know that I am doing well to them.

I have been using Hostgator for a couple of months now and have come to conclude that Hostgator is good for php but is not recommended for other scripting support. They only support fcgi i.e. you need to use cgi only which in turn implies that your application will restart with each request. It makes the website slow and load time increases considerably. The customer support care is non existent. It is pretty lousy except for low rates.

I would like to let everybody know Hostgator is one of the best web hoster around the world. Extremely cheap and the most reliable servers are definitely the reason behind it. I am a member of their re seller plan and have been a member for 5 years. I have had no problems whatsoever and have been running 15 websites through them. With the implementation of the new ticket system their response system has become awesome. I have used only 3 tickets in 5 years and they were responded to within hours of issuance if not sooner. Their phone lines are always free indicative off the fact that they are really good at what they do. I would recommend Hostgator to everybody. Cheap, lots and lots of services, efficient customer care, what else could one want from a web hosting service?

I have been hosting with Hostgator for 3 solid years now and never ever had a problem with them on hosting issues. I don’t know what people keep complaining about. They have 99.9% uptime and no application loading issues. They let you load your own scripts and their servers are fast. The websites load fast and efficiently and download speed is great. But one major drawback, the customer care. Although they provide plethora of services but they do not know the value of customers. They are severely short staffed and there phone lines have an average weight time of over 30 minutes. The care staff is rude and not technically proficient. All in all good for non business hosting or if you are really good at networks.

Well I am not hosting with Hostgator but still though you should know my experience with them. I applied for hosting and paid through credit card. They acknowledged the payment and promised to upload my website within 6 hours. 144 hours and 12 reminders through email and my website was still not on the web. So I asked them for a refund. Well it turned out to be a nightmare and they returned my money after a month. The amount was small no doubt about it but look at their insincerity. I am glad that I escaped through their horrible clutches and am hosting with another webhost as of now. Anybody with respect for his/her money would never ever go for Hostgator.

Have been using Hostgator for 6 months now. There is loads and loads of downtime but the websites load really fast. They grossly oversell their server resources and if you use more than a certain percentage of servers you get suspended. The customer care is really lousy and I only stick around because the rates are low and loading speed is high. Don’t go for any changes as they charge heftily for it and changes are insignificant most of the time. I would only recommend for people with low budgets.

I have been Hostgator for 2 weeks only and find their service awful. They are a group of liar and thieves who are set out to rob your last penny. First of all they grossly oversell their network resources. Secondly if you use more than a percentage of server you are on you are suspended without any explanations. Well you may say that you might not have purchased sufficient space / bandwidth. But no my friends it is so even if you have adequate space and bandwidth. They do grossly oversell. If you use a certain percentage of the server’s resources, you will be suspended. A mandatory search portal (Information.com) is put on “https” access to all hosted domains without notifying customers in any way. Any changes are not welcome and you have to pat through your nose for the changes. Even then the services are not satisfactory and nobody should host anything on Hostgator ever.

Earlier I was using free hosting services at http://www.yfchost.com but it has a downtime like 2 to 5 hours in 1 month and it affected my site. Hostgator care is pathetic. I called in after reading bad reviews also thinking that other web hosting services were after them. But I was proved wrong immediately. The guy on the chat was busy with someone else and the fact that I wanted to be a new customer did not make any affect on him. He rudely told me to deposit money and then we could talk. Before payment he said he didn’t mind even me hanging up. I would not recommend such lousy support web host to anyone.
